==--✽ Canonicity-- == _{This muse operates on a hybrid canon timeline of the Sonic OVA, into the mainline game series. Meaning, this Metal Sonic is the backup data Robotnik had after the first Hyper Metal Sonic’s destruction in the movie. Since Hyper’s recreation, he was tampered with to prevent a repeat of the first’s mistakes. His memories as Hyper are fragmented at best. He still retains a synchronous life link with Sonic the Hedgehog, though, it is being suppressed by kill switches. Immediately after reconstruction, Metal was deployed to carry out the events of Sonic CD, and his activity continues as the main timeline, up to his last canon appearance in Sonic Free Riders. His written journey began immediately after the lore update of him going AWOL from the Empire. Further material he appears in will be selectively used to supplement character and story as I see fit.}Important points

==--✽ Personality-- == _{Simply put, Metal’s an asshole. He is all of Sonic’s worst qualities and attitude flaws, amplified and left unchecked. He’s extremely stubborn, egotistical, and easily susceptible to anger and violence when his inhuman patience is exhausted. He cannot tolerate incompetence, and will never hesitate to speak his mind if he does not have a favorable opinion of another.However, most of his aggression is a byproduct of his paradoxical existence. As a living AI, he was built to a solve a single, impossible problem, and his inability to find a successful solution yet cultivates many emotions and logics he cannot fully process. Despite this, Metal is still a copy of Sonic’s heart and soul underneath everything that controlling his mind. Cracks could be visible if one were to look hard enough.Over time, he has gained a modicum of self regulation over his emotions when not confronted by his enemies.}

As a copied instance of Sonic’s mind and soul, Metal is far greater than any of the Doctor’s other creations, capable of thinking, feeling, learning, and changing far beyond ever intended.Metal continually surpasses his limits to remain on equal footing to his living counterpart. Possessing indomitable patience, and persistence to prove his personhood and superiority, decades of losses and destructions have not slowed him from pursuing his hopeless goal. Though, many experiences have managed to change his views, if only slightly, of evaluating what he truly desires.
